A few weeks ago I went to the Gagosian and saw Henry Moore's exhibition Late Large Forms.

It was pretty spectacular actually.

I really enjoyed the different forms
he created in such a large scale, and for them to not be outside as well I really liked.

I am rather bias though as I do really REALLY like his work.

What was GREAT about this exhibition was you were able to get up close and personal with the sculptures which I PARticularly enjoyed as you could feel the marks he had made. The copper one which has turned green was my favourite.

Super lovely effects of the eroded copper.
Also was cool to walk under it.

Here are some pages from my sketchbook.

We went to this awesome mexican roadside restuarent in Sonoma.
I really liked the design of the place especially the typography on the outside. The colors were so great took more photos on my film camera so will upload when they are developed!

They also did the BEST fish tacos.

I would LOVE to be transported back to the Bauhaus era and attend the metal party of 1929.

I discovered a new magazine called
 The Plant Journal.
I had never heard of this publication before but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Some fabulous photography from the likes of Wai Lin Tse who I adore!

It was issue 2 that I flicked through but sadly did not have the funds to purchase a copy; when I do i will.

Here are some pics though of what it is like that I nabbed from It's Nice That.

From the plane we saw some CRAYZAY things:

A mental ash cloud just before we reached Cali...

This crazy shaped lake...

HUGE areas of land with these freakishly square organised fields...

And some low level ominous cloud...

All in all a pretty spectacular birds eye view!

#1

In 10 years time I will be living
HERE:

I went to the WHITE CUBE in Hoxton Square and saw this pretty cool Antony Gormley exhibition! He did 18 figures in total all made up of iron blocks. He showed figures in state of rest and figures in a state of tension.

I really really liked the exhibition it was very thoughtful, and he crated a space in which
I could of spent hours in examining the different poses and studying the shift of weight
and geometric shapes he managed to create within the forms (+ I <3 geometry so that really went down a storm with me).

I couldn't take photos but did some rough sketches of the outlines and silhouettes of the figures.

Here is a photo from the gallery website to give a better I idea of what was going on.

Afterwards I went to met
Alice and Sophie for a drink in South Bank and they had this wickedy wick fair ground ride
peeking out from above the south bank center.

Looked cool in London, a swell addition to the sky line. I think it should be made permanent!
